The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. E27 (Edison screw) and E24 (small Edison screw) caps/bases are among the most popular, although this depends on your location. GU10 is generally the most common cap/base for spotlights. A ballast can be seen as an energy regulator that switches on the lighting. Is there a starter in the fixture? Then this is a conventional ballast (EM). With an energy label of D, the Osram LED Tube 55cm | 6500K 10W - SubstiTUBE HO is the efficient and eco-friendly solution to the conventional T5 fluorescent tube. By using advanced LED technology, LED fluorescent lighting does not have to use toxic gases like mercury, that are harmful to the environment. By using the Osram LED tube, you are ensured that you do not leave a big ecological footprint. On top of this, the Substitube tube uses much less energy than the conventional T5 fluorescent tube. Where the conventional T5 tube uses 24W, the Osram LED variant only has to use 10W, without sacrificing light intensity or quality.
The T5 LED tube by Osram is equipped with a G5 base. This means that there is a 5mm distance between the 2 pins. Furthermore, the Osram LED tube has a diameter of 27mm and a length of 55cm. Make sure when choosing a new LED tube to always look at the old wattage - length ratio of the conventional T5 fluorescent tube. These are connected to each other.
